Beth Carey and Anisa MacKenzie this coming weekend are doing what most inspire to do during their sporting career. That is to compete for a spot for their Country. Both girls will travel to Melbourne where they will train with a training squad in which will be used to select the 2016 Women’s National indoor team. We wish both girls the best of luck. Do Austral Proud.

Make sure you get out and about this Saturday (21/11/15) and Sunday (22/11/12) to watch the Adelaide Storm battle away against Uni Blues for the last home game for the 2015 season. Numerous Austral League Players will be representing South Australia across the weekend. Lewis McDonald, Rhys Wood, Jahan Emery, Elliot King, Pete Powhey, Sheena Peters, Anisa Mackenzie, Amy Wood and Beth Carey.

VSA are running another Level 1 Coaching Course later this month. If you’re interested in coaching at Austral in the future obtaining your Level 1 accreditation is important otherwise you won’t be look at as a coach unless you commit to become one.

Austral Promising juniors Conal McAinsh and Greg Darani have been selected in the up and coming Australian Junior Development Camp held in Canberra at the Australian Institute of Sport. Both boys have excelled in their young volleyball career’s so far playing seniors for Austral even at a junior age and played at a state and National level for their age group. Conal has been situated at the Centre of Excellence at the AIS in 2015. Big Congratulations to these boys and the Austral Community wishes you both good luck!
