About us
We are affiliated with the South Australian Volleyball Association Inc. Our objectives include fostering the game of volleyball in our community for all ages.
Austral Volleyball Club Inc has accredited coaches, referees and administrators within the club and is a competitive and respected member of the South Australian Volleyball community.
Austral hosts several social and fundraising events throughout the year and all members are encouraged to participate in and support these events. Check out our website regularly for details of upcoming events.

Match Details
South Australian State League
In 2010 all senior State League, League Reserves and Division 1 matches will be held on Saturdays at Mt Lofty Community Sports Centre, 99 Longwood Road, Stirling. The season commences with Round 1 on Saturday April 17th and concludes with the Grand Finals on September 11th (TBC). Match starting times range between 9am and 5:30pm, and with Austral teams participating in each grade and gender you won’t have to wait long to see your club mates perform. The League Men will also be playing some exhibition games throughout the season on Friday nights at Junior League venues – check back soon for confirmed match and venue details here. <State Draw to be linked once finalised>

Junior League & Summer League
These competitions are played on Friday evenings at various locations and are open to junior players with age groups defined as Under 15 and Under 19. Within these age brackets there are Divisional gradings to ensure that the competition remains safe, fun and challenging for all participants.

Social Activities
If you are unable to play on Saturdays or are interested in playing in a slightly more social setting, either in a mixed or same sex team/competition please contact us at Australvc@gmail.com or via our facebook page to register your interest and preferred night of competition.
Austral runs a pre-season training camp at Victor Harbor, which is fully supervised, alcohol free and a safe and fun environment for all members of the club. The goal of this event is to build club atmosphere and morale, improve teamwork and volleyball skills, and educate our members about health and fitness to help them prepare for and succeed in the year ahead. The pre-season camp is aimed at all members no matter how young or old, and parents of junior members are most welcome to attend too, but don’t be surprised if you get asked to help with preparing the meals. This year, for the first time, the pre-season camp is offered at no additional cost to the members – that is 2 nights accommodation and 5 meals FREE!
We also run an end of season camp which gives all players the opportunity to let their hair down and celebrate the end of what we hope is another successful year for Austral. There will be more details of this to come so stay tuned.
As a committee we are always looking for fresh ideas to make being a member of Austral more rewarding so if you have an idea for a social or fundraising event that you think would benefit Austral and its members, we’d love to hear about it. So send us an email with details to Australvc@gmail.com
What it Costs
Our club fee structure for the 2010 season has remained unchanged from 2009, though we have had to increase fees slightly due to an increase in the hiring cost of training venues. Your club fees include all training, membership and match fees so there is no ongoing weekly cost to you. The only additional fee is Volleyball SA membership, which is due April 1st and costs $70 for seniors, $45 for Under 19’s and $20 for Under 13’s, and is payable direct to Volleyball SA.
To counter this fee increase, we have decided that the pre-season training camp will be offered to all club members free of charge.

New players can join at any time of the year, but fees must be paid in full prior to being eligible to play.
