Uniforms

Austral Phoenix are happy to announce that Joust are on board with us this year and all NEW uniforms are being made by them.

NEW UNIFORMS. For those players that need new uniforms, we will have a sizing kit at training next week. We will take your sizes and number preference and submit it for you.
If you miss next weeks order you will be able to buy a shirt online from the Joust website, but there is a chance that your shirt will arrive late for the start of the season (and the delivery fee will be at your own cost).

OLD UNIFORMS. ALL existing members need to bring all their shirts to training and give them to Pete within the next week as they need to be sent off to Joust so that the new ‘VSA State League’ logo can be added to the existing playing shirts. This will be done at a small cost to players, details to follow soon about this. Again, ALL PLAYERS must return ALL their shirts to have this added. If your shirt doesn’t have the logo, you will be considered out of uniform by the referees and unable to play.

Also, we need players to start paying fees or informing Peter (the Treasurer) of your desire to undertake a payment plan. People missing payments may forfeit playing rights.

Junior Intake Trials & Women’s Sunday Training

This is a reminder that External Junior Intake Trials are on THIS SUNDAY from 9am – 12 noon!! Check out the Juniors page for more information.

Due to Junior Trials, the Women’s City Beach training will not be held, but everyone is welcome to come out and attend the Junior trials. This is a good opportunity to show the younger members of Austral Phoenix what they can aspire to become. So please come to Cosgrove Hall between 9am and 11am.

External Intake Trials for Junior players are on Sunday 26th February, so make sure you tell interested players about it ASAP.

Put the following date in your diaries;

7th February 2012

It’s PRE-SESAON LADIES and GENTS, BOYS and GIRLS.

Training starts at 6.30pm for both Senior Mens and Ladies squads.
Everyone welcome, so come and enjoy the start of pre-season at Cosgrove Hall.

JUNIORS – there will be Junior trials on Sunday 26th February at Cosgrove Hall, please see the Junior Trials Registration Form for more inf0rmation.

Welcome Back 2012 BBQ

To kick off the start of our 2012 campaign Austral will be holding a Welcome back BBQ event on Tuesday 31st January at Angus Neill Reserve, Esplanade, Seacliff from 6:30pm. It is an all ages event for members of the club new and old, as well as family and friends are all welcome.
 
All team coaches will be introduced and information regarding trainings, league season dates, 2012 membership options and fees will be provided.
 
There will be a gold coin donation BBQ as well as soft drinks, merchandise and 2012 AUSTRAL calendars available for purchase – calendars only $10 each.

Austral VC AGM & Presentations – Lawn Bowls Extravagana

Come along to the End of Season AGM and Presentation Afternoon to be held at the Clarence Gardens Bowls Club!
 
When: Sunday October 16th, 11am – 5pm.
Where: Clarence Garden Bowling Club, Winona Ave, Clarence Gardens.
 
Awards to be given out include:

MVP’s for each Team.
Most Improved for each Team.
Best Rookie Player for Each Gender.

Also we will be holding our AGM where the new Committee will be elected, so if you wish to be a part of that, please come along and nominate yourself for the Comittee.

Last, but certainly not least, it is at a Bowls Club, so for all of you who fancy yourselves as Bowlers, come along and have a roll with your Austral mates.

End of Season Bash

We are planning a party to celebrate the end of the 2011 Season.

When: Saturday 10th August, 2011
Where: Cosgrove Hall
Time: 6pm

There’s going to be a DJ laying down some beats, Lamb on the spit, vegetarians will be catered for also if you don’t like lamb, BYO drinks and celebrate Season 2011!

$5 for members
$15 for non-members

Hopefully we will be celebrating some championships also!!!

FINALS ACTION CONTINUED

Calling all Phoenixes.

We have ONE team representing the club in the VSA State League Final Series.

The League Reserve Men are fighting to keep their Finals dream alive THIS SATURDAY, 3rd September at 12pm!!

We need everyone out in force to help the boys make it to the grand final.

Nando’s Night

Thanks to everyone who came along to Nando’s in Edwardstown. We had a fantastic turn out and therefore raised over $1000 for the club.
