The wines on offer are not cheap and nasty, they have recommended retail prices ranging between $16 and $22, but a special deal brokered by Mark Pradun has enabled us to pass on this low price especially to benefit our club.

As per usual, if you are under 18 years of age you cannot purchase any of the products on offer, but Austral Volleyball Club would appreciate it if you could pass this offer on to your parents and friends (over 18′s) who may be interested in wine.

As a further value add, we are able to save on the cost of shipping (priced at $7 per dozen) if any orders are directed and delivery made via the club (pick-up likely to be Cosgrove on a Tuesday night).

Hello Austral Members!

Following the success of last year’s Krispy Kreme fundraiser, we have decided utilise them as one of our major fundraising activities again in 2010.

Krispy Kreme’s are sold all over the world, and are renowned for their famous ‘Original Glaze’ style doughnuts.

This year, along with the dozen original glaze donughts for $20 a box, we will be also selling an Assorted dozen option, for $25. The Assorted Dozen includes:
• 6 x Original Glazed
• 2 x Choc Iced
• 2 x Strawberry Iced
• 2 x Choc Iced with Sprinkles

As this will be one of our major fundraisers this year, we expect you to help out by selling 3-4 boxes. This should not be difficult given that, despite their popularity, they have still not opened a store in Adelaide. So neither you, your family, friends, work colleges or your neighbours are able to get them anywhere else in Adelaide…so selling them should be a sinch. Attached at the bottom of this post is an order form, to make the ordering process easy for you. Simply collect the money ($20 or $25) when taking an order.

For all of those wanting to become or continue as a member this season, this post is for you.

Attached is the required membership form. Both this and the pre-season camp form must be filled out by all playing members and returned either to your coach or a committee member. Please note that the pre-season camp is compulsory, and will not cost you a dime!

Fees and the membership form are due by April 2nd to Peter Bawhey, Treasurer. The form for the camp is due ASAP, as the camp is not far off! Please see the forms themselves for more details.

Pre-season Camp form 2010

A reminder to all that the Pre-Season BBQ will be on this saturday the 13th of February at Cosgrove Hall in York Ave, Clovelly Park, kicking off from 6pm. All junior and senior club members, friends and family are encouraged to attend!

There will be drinks, salad and bbq meat all at a reasonable price and a volleyball court will be set up!

We’ll see you there!

As has been the tradition over the last few years, Austral will be holding a pre-season trip for all of its players, both young and old. The trip will be focused on preparation for the volleyball season in both fitness and club bonding while also being a weekend of fun and socialisation.

The trip is scheduled for the 12th-14th March at the Toc H camp site in Victor Harbor. Ensure you keep that weekend free as it will be mandatory for all senior players to attend! Junior players are also encouraged to attend, and if any parents of family would like to help out, you are welcome too!
